Danielle Bush, 27, of Colerain Township is held at the Hamilton County jail on $2,500 bond on one count of domestic violence.
She is accused of beating her 10-year-old son so badly with a toilet plunger at their Atwater Drive residence on Saturday morning, his injuries required hospitalization, her arrest report states.
The boy's injuries are obvious and visible but not life threatening, said Officer Andrew Demeropolis, spokesman for Colerain Township police.
Bush has been ordered to stay away from her three children, he said.
The attack occurred after she woke up Saturday morning, found the house "in shambles" and became upset, he said.
She also pushed him down and placed her hands around his neck, marking his neck, chest and legs, according to the report.
Then she chased the boy’s father with knives and assaulted the man by scratching the right side of his face and biting the left side of his chest, the report states.
The boy and his two siblings, 2 and 5, are staying with relatives, said Brian Gregg, spokesman for Hamilton County Department of Job & Family Services.
