Police were called to a West Bluff McDonald's restaurant early Saturday after an employee was allegedly assaulted with a breakfast sandwich.

About 5:20 a.m., a man at the drive-through window at 627 N. Western Ave. was upset his McGriddle sandwich didn't have an egg in it, the victim told police. She told the man she would correct the sandwich, but he became irate when the driver of the vehicle behind him honked at him to move.

The man then threw the hot, greasy sandwich at the 38-year-old employee's face, according to police reports. The man drove off before police arrived.

The woman refused medical attention.

assaulted with a breakfast sandwich? sorry, that's just fucking funny. i know that must have sucked for that woman though - working at mcdonalds must suck anyway, then to get hit in the face with a mcgriddle? that's just awful.

furthermore, if the guy was pissed because the car behind him was honking at him, then why didn't he attack them with his sandwich? that doesn't make sense.

it's too bad the cops didn't catch him, that would have been funny as hell. i would love to see someone get arrested for assault with a mcgriddle. i can understand this guy's actions better than the mcnugget bitch - i hate when they fuck up my special orders. however, i have never thrown a cheeseburger in someone's face because it had mustard on it. this guy is another mcdouche.

That was a waste of money. And if he's caught, even more money. All because he wanted to throw a tantrum.

Exactly Dakota. I just cannot fathom a grown person throwing a temper tantrum and throwing hot greasy food in someones face. He's an idiot and I hope they catch him. Just for the shame of it.

Hard economic times are not when you should be wasting food by tossing it at folks.

McGriddles count as food, don't they?

McGriddles are the only thing from McD's that I'll eat.

Cut them some slack. You know how hard it is to keep track of those cars coming through the line one at a time? :lollypop:

I actually worked fast food as a teenager........and was abused daily. It was a pizza place though so some nuts just marched right around the counter.

I did my time in fast food as a teenager too. It was at about that time that I realized...I really hate people. :lollypop:

I worked at McDonald's for 4 hours in 1975. I quit but kept the uniform for Halloween.

I'm a member of a community on Livejournal that talks about this kind of thing, and I've actually read a bunch of stories where employees in food service get hot food thrown at them... Scary. Some of that stuff can seriously injure the employees.

Urmm, what exactly is a 'Mcgriddle'? I rarely go to McD's as Im veggie and there is NO choice for my kind! But I dont think I have ever seen a Mcgriddle on the UK menu. I thought 'griddle' was American for 'grill'?
(and I very much doubt that its a grilled grill on a bap?!)

Wow, the self entitlement people have for food that is cheap for a reason blows me away.
If he was that upset he should have pulled over and gone inside. I bet he would have gotten some free stuff too.
I agree it's a kitchen issue. Poor cashier

Urmm, what exactly is a 'Mcgriddle'?

It's supposed to taste like 2 pancakes with stuff inside (bacon, egg and cheese. Or maybe sausage, egg and cheese? Not sure)
'Supposed to' being the operative words :)

I saw a speacial about the Mcgriddle on the food network show. They spent 3 years trying come up with a way to make it. Its basically 2 very sweet maple flavoured pancakes, and stuff in the middle, like a breakfast sandwich. Instead of useing an english muffin or bread.
