Zachary Allan Palladini, of Altoona, walked away from the Greystone House in Jenner Township on Friday evening without permission, police said.
The apparent runaway was last seen by witnesses wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering, black velour sweat pants and white tennis shoes, police said.
Palladini is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. The boy has a noticeably slim build and is wearing his brown hair longer than in his last known photograph, police said.
The home, located in Boswell, is an Adelphoi Village program which provides intensive supervision for troubled youths, according to their Web site.
Police don't believe he's an endangered missing child at this time. Palladini has relations in the Altoona area, police said.
Anyone with information on Palladini's location is asked to contact the Somerset state police at 445-4104.
