A city woman was arrested by Lebanon police last night after she tried to attack her daughter with gardening shears.
Police were called to the home of 33-year-old Omary Rodriguez-Fuentes, 404 N. Seventh St., about 7:30 p.m. to resolve a dispute between her and her 13-year-old daughter. When officers arrived, the pair were on the sidewalk shouting at each other, according to the police report.
After the two were separated, police said, Rodriguez-Fuentes went into the house and returned in a few minutes holding half of a large pair of gardening shears over her head as she charged at her daughter, shouting in rage.
Police were able to intervene before Rodriquez-Fuentes reached her daughter, preventing anyone from getting injured.
Rodriguez-Fuentes was taken to Central Booking, where she was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault. Police did not know a bail amount.
