Police say they stopped 24 year old Christina Morris around eight Tuesday night at the intersection of Church Road and Thamesford Way in Henrico county.
She was pulled over after a concerned person tipped off Henrico police. That person claimed the woman appeared drunk at a gas station.
Store managers at the Uppys have a surveillance tape they say shows 24-year-old Christina Morris buying two non alcoholic drinks and then walking out to her car. She was arrested a short while later. Morris says she did nothing wrong.
"I handed him my license and he said well step out of the car m'am. He made me take these numbers talking back and forth. I did that, passed that perfect he made me walk in a straight line. I couldn't do it with my shoes on so I had to take my shoes off, I had on heels. I did that for him and then he slapped the cuffs on me," said Morris.
Morris says she only had one beer, but police say she "was" drunk and a tip from a good samaritan helped them locate her, observe erratic driving then pull her over.
She had three passengers in her car, including two small children, ages four and five.
Police are not allowed to release Morris's blood alcohol level but she has been charged with one count of DUI and two counts of felony child endangerment.
"It's one thing to put your life at risk, but you're putting other people's lives at risk and then you have this child who has no choice but to go with the person, you're putting their life at risk. So its just like a loaded gun-it's an accident waiting to happen," said Henrico Police Lt. Doug Perry.
Morris is expected back in Henrico Court for a preliminary hearing on March 17th.
