The woman, who does not want to be identified, was attacked at about 1 a.m. Wednesday at the store on Highway 92 in Woodstock.
The woman said she was buying dog food when she spotted the man and thought he was following her.
“When I close my eyes, I see his face, I know exactly what he looked like,” she said. “I just thought maybe I was exaggerating, like it wasn't a big deal or anything.”
he woman said that when she went to her car, the man approached her and asked if everything was OK.
“Then, he set his bag down real quick and grabbed me and put me in my car and jumped on top of me. He touched my leg and then (got) on my chest,” the woman said.
She said he kissed her on the mouth, and that's when her knee hit the horn.
“He said, ‘That's all I wanted,’ and then took his bag and ran off,” she said. She then called 911.
Investigators said they are more concerned after watching the store’s surveillance video.
“He actually reaches down and grabs himself in the private area appearing to rub himself. So, we're kind of concerned that this behavior indicates to us that this individual could be some type of a sexual predator,” said Woodstock police Detective Paul Brown.
Officers had the victim look at pictures of registered sex offenders to see if she recognized anyone. Brown said police want to catch the man before his behavior escalates to rape.
“I don't want it to happen to anyone else,” the victim said.
Brown said the man drove off in a dark pickup truck.
