Thirty-four year-old Erin Speicher faces a single felony charge after her arrest.
Speicher resigned her position Friday as a 9th grade English teacher at Rittman High School, according to Superintendent Jon Ritchie. Speicher was also the Junior Class Advisor.
Ritchie said the allegations came to light last week and that police were immediately called to investigate. Ritchie was unable to comment further about the details of the allegations .
Rittman High School has 425 students so every student knew Speicher, Ritchie said.
Orrville police say there were "multiple alleged incidents" and that Rittman Police, Rittman Schools, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office and the Wayne County Childrens Services are all taking part in the investigation.
