JEFFERSON - A man from Fort Atkinson is charged with two felonies in connection with a weekend crash that killed a father and son.

Authorities say Lucas White, 22, crossed the center line and smashed into an oncoming car. He is now charged with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint, Lucas admitted to 'drinking nearly non-stop since Noon' on the day of the crash. He estimated that he'd had about seven beers. He also admitted to smoking marijuana.

Lucas tested a .23 blood alcohol level. He told investigators several times that he was drunk and that he, "screwed up."

Eleno Calvillo, 41, and his son, Bailey were both pronounced dead at the scene on Highway 106 near Curtis Mill Road.

A makeshift memorial now sits near the crash scene.

At St. Joseph's Catholic School in Fort Atkinson, starting another school week isn't supposed to be this hard. "We at St. Joseph's are very sad," said Principal Dave Podmolak.

Bailey went to school at St. Joseph's. Bailey and his father were on their way to a Bucks game when White smashed into them. White, who is from Fort Atkinson, was treated and released for minor injuries.

Podmolak says the Calvillo's have three other children.

Authorities said White's pickup was westbound on Highway 106 at about 6:15 p.m. when it crossed into the eastbound lane, crashing into the Calvillo's 1995 Toyota Corolla.

Everyone involved was wearing seatbelts.

Okay this guy admits he had been drinking non stop since about noon and the crash happens 6:15 p.m. He had to have had more than 7 beers that is like a beer an hour. Fuck no way he was probably sucking them down. Plus he smoked some pot on top of drinking. If you want to do either or both DO NOT DRIVEcall a friend or a cab.

Detectives revealed in court on Monday the suspect, 22-year old Lucas White, allegedly had plenty of warnings he was too drunk to drive.

Family members of the victims, Eleno "Alan" Calvillo and his 11-year old son Bailey, held up pictures of them in court, along with pictures of the three other children who lost a father and brother. Lucas White is accused of crashing into their car and killing them as they were on the way to a Bucks game. Investigators say just after the crash, White blamed Calvillo for driving on the wrong side of the road.

"He had thought that the other vehicle, the blue Toyota, had crossed into his lane," said Deputy Robert Scheinkoenig with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's deputies say it was White who crossed onto the wrong side of the road. They found no evidence White slowed down to brake or swerve. He admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking seven beers, and being cut off by the bartender just before getting behind the wheel.

"He said he wasn't quite sure if it was because his tab was too high or because he had too much to drink," said Detective Margarita Gary with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators say White's friends asked him if he had a ride as he was leaving the bar, and he allegedly lied and said his girlfriend was picking him up. He told deputies he lied to get his friends off his back.
