ORLANDO, Fla. -- For the second time in just two days in the same area of Orange County, deputies said there has been a sexual crime involving young girls.
Daniel Castro is accused of exposing himself to two girls. Deputies arrested him on Saturday, while they continued their manhunt for two men who raped an 11-year-old girl on Thursday.
The second crime against a child happened at the Waterways subdivision off Orange Blossom Trail.
Deputies arrested the 29-year-old Castro for allegedly exposing himself to two girls, whom he lured into his apartment.
While investigators said they do not think Castro was involved in the 11-year-old girl's rape -- which wasn't far away -- they are still comparing his DNA to what was recovered from the crime scene.
"I hope they catch those guys, those bad guys," said neighbor Roger Dorvil. "I hope they catch them."
Throughout the day and the area, everybody was saying the rapists need to be caught.
"They might do it to someone else," neighbor Alexa Treadway said.
One woman, who is 18 now, said she used to walk the same path as the rape victim every day for four years.
"It's a very sad thing that happened," Julie Pierre said. "I used to go to Lancaster, and I did not think that could ever happen, especially in daylight."
Deputies have been following up on tips from the bus stop at Orange Blossom Trail and Lancaster Road, to the abduction site on Lancaster Road closer to the school and to the abandoned home on Rose Boulevard where the girl was raped by the two men on Thursday.
Neighbors said the home has been empty for a couple of years and, despite something so horrible happening just a few doors down, life for neighbors goes on.
One man said it would not stop him from having his daughter's birthday party in his front yard.
