A Wisconsin woman is relieved there's been an arrest in the killing of her 19-year-old daughter, even if it took 33 years to make it.
A 53-year-old Ashwaubenon man is jailed pending formal charges in the death of Kathleen Leichtman in July of 1976. The teen from the Milwaukee area had gone to Fond du Lac for a job as a dancer. After leaving the nightspot with two men, she was found stabbed to death.
Her mother Virginia Leichtman told WBAY-TV of Green Bay that the family still visits the grave of the girl she remembers as her "angel doll."
But she said they had just about given up hope that the crime would be solved until a detective knocked on her door and told her about the new development.
