Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, was last seen at 8 a.m. at Tecumseh High School. The girl's parents told police they took her to school on Tuesday but that she never attended any classes.

Police Detective J.R. Kidney said officers have been told she is with James Joseph Reimer, 40, but that there is no definitive proof of it.

"He's 40-years-old, she's 14. We just don't believe that is a good combination and can have a good result," Kidney said.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Reimer, who is accused of texting sexual content to Fourzan.

The convenience store where Fourzan worked -- Spring Hill Grocery, near the intersection of highways 9 and 102 -- reported a cash theft on Monday afternoon. Officers said that several thousand dollars were taken from the store.

"Just bring her home, just let her come home," Deborah's mother Crystal Vanbuskirk said.

Vanbuskirk said she found several text messages from Reimer on her daughter’s cell phone. The family said they used to consider Reimer a close family friend.

"The messages just kept coming in and coming in and coming in. There were thirty-plus messages of him calling her his lover. ‘I love you. How come you're not calling me back?’ He did not know she was grounded from her phone this time," Vanbuskirk said.

Detectives said they were investigating Reimer when he disappeared Monday morning.

Deborah’s friends said she told them she was leaving town with Reimer.

Students at Tecumseh High School told detectives they believe Reimer might have taken Fourzan to California.

The girl’s mother said the family is just staying positive and hoping for the best.

"She's 14-years-old. She needs to be home with her family," Vanbuskirk said.

There are no vehicle descriptions.

Suspect: James Reimer (note the close-set, beady pedo eyes)

They now believe Fourzan and Reimer are heading to Austin for an Ikkicon anime convention which begins February 6.

Hopefully we'll have good news today on this one as they arrest his ass goin into the convention and her parents thankfully hug her the fact she's
fine, then spank the crap outta her and ground her for life. Oh well..I guess I'd rather have a foolish teen that did something stupid ass than a dead one.

A segment on "America’s Most Wanted” about a missing Tecumseh girl generated tips.

Tecumseh police Detective J.R. Kidney said telephone lines lit up after the show aired Saturday featuring Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, and the man she is with, James Reimer, 40.

Kidney said many sightings came from the Austin, Texas, area. Authorities followed tips that led them to apartments and stores.

"Nothing panned out, but we got some strong leads, and we’re confident that the whole nation is looking,” Kidney said.

Deborah has been missing since Feb. 2. Reimer was charged two days later in Pottawatomie County District Court in connection with sexually explicit messages sent to the girl’s cell phone.

Michael Fourzan, 38, said his daughter lived with him in Garland, Texas, until last summer. He said he suspected Reimer was a problem when his daughter returned to Texas from a visit at her mother’s home in 2007 with clothing and toys he said Reimer bought her.

Fourzan said Reimer called his home when Deborah Fourzan was 13 and asked to speak to her.

"I did what any father would,” Fourzan said. "I made it clear that he was to stay away from her.”

Fourzan said he wouldn’t have allowed his daughter to move to Tecumseh if he had known Reimer was still socializing with the family.

Deborah Fourzan’s mother, Crystal Vanbuskirk, said Reimer had been a family friend and was like an uncle to her daughter. Vanbuskirk said she tried to cut ties between the two when she found inappropriate text messages from Reimer on her daughter’s cell phone.

RAYS HARBOR COUNTY, Wash. -- A man found in Grays Harbor County with a 14-year-old girl who was missing from her Oklahoma home since February appeared in court on Monday.

A judge ordered 40-year-old James Reimer to be held on $500,000 bail for a warrant from Oklahoma for one count of soliciting sexual conduct or communicating with a minor by use of technology.

Police said Reimer lured 14-year-old Kalai Fourzan on Feb. 2 after sending her sexually explicit text messages.

Fourzan was found last weekend after a Washington State Trooper pulled over Reimer's vehicle in Montesano.

The Washington State Patrol impounded the car, which will be searched on Tuesday and could yield new evidence, police said.

The girl, who said she did not engage in any sexual acts with Reimer, is in protective custody in Olympia until her father can pick her up and bring her back to Oklahoma.

Reimer was recently featured on the show "America's Most Wanted" for the alleged luring. http://www.kirotv.com/news/18943897/detail.html

A man accused of luring a 14-year-old Tecumseh girl to take a cross-country trip with him may have been planning to kill himself if nabbed by authorities, police said.

When James Joseph Reimer, 41, was apprehended March 17 in Washington state, authorities found a shotgun in the trunk of his car. Reimer told the teenager he planned to use the gun on himself if faced with a standoff with police, Tecumseh Police Detective J.R. Kidney said.

Reimer fought extradition from Washington. He was returned to Oklahoma on Wednesday on a governor’s warrant to face felony charges in connection with the Feb. 2 disappearance of Deborah Kalia Fourzan.

Reimer is charged in Pottawatomie County District Court with maliciously enticing a child and soliciting sexual conduct with a child through text messaging.

He appeared in court Thursday and requested a public defender. His bail was set at $150,000.

District Attorney Richard Smothermon said he declined to file sexual assault charges against Reimer because he has no evidence Reimer accosted Fourzan in Oklahoma. He said he could not pursue a kidnapping complaint because she appears to have gone willingly with him.

WOW, it looks like this could have been much worse. I'm curious how he convinced her.
