Man arrested after baby is severely beaten
An El Dorado man has been arrested after police say his girlfriend's 7-month-old baby suffered blunt-force injuries and needed to be airlifted to a hospital.
Frederick Rabion, 39, of El Dorado was arrested for first-degree battery for allegedly causing the baby's injuries. Rabion is being held on $50,000 bond.
Rabion also was ordered not to have any contact with the baby or the baby's mother.
Officials say the baby arrived Thursday to the Medical Center of South Arkansas with life-threatening injuries. The baby later was flown to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

El Dorado resident arrested for battery for allegedly causing
A 7-month-old El Dorado boy remained in critical condition Friday at a Little Rock hospital after sustaining a head injury that doctors have said is life-threatening and was caused by blunt force trauma.
Frederick Rabion, 39, of El Dorado was arrested for first-degree battery for allegedly causing the baby’s injuries.
Rabion appeared in Union County District Court on Friday, and he was issued a bond of $50,000, cash or corporate surety. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the baby or the baby’s mother.
