Amber Alert: Salvador Muna has abducted 7 month old and girlfriend Nicole Lee

TEMPE, Ariz. -- An Amber Alert has been issued after a man armed with a handgun abducted his 7-month-old child and 23-year-old girlfriend at a Tempe home on Thursday, Tempe police said.

Officers said Salvador Muna, 23, was making threats and damaged the home before taking the pair against their will.

The infant is identified as Joseph Muna.

Police identified Salvador Muna's girlfriend as Nicole Lee, 19. She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has green eyes and long brown hair.

Police found Nicole Lee, 19, and her 7-month-old son in the area of Stapley and University Drive in Mesa, though exactly where and in what condition they were found is unclear, said Katie McDevitt, a police spokeswman.

Police believe the father and woman's boyfriend, Salvador Muna, 28, left the area on foot, she said.

The two went missing shortly after police said the father went on a rampage in a home near the Papago Park at about 8:45 a.m. Thursday. Police said he made threats and damaged the house before kidnapping the two.

Police issued an Amber Alert at about 12:30 for the child, warning that Muna was believed to be armed with two handguns.

Officers aren't sure what caused the fight at home on North Forest Avenue, on the eastern border of Papago Park, said McDevitt. At least one other person was inside the house at the time, along with Muna, Lee and the child, McDevitt said.

Supai Middle School, on Continental Drive in Scottsdale, was also locked down at about 10 a.m. while police searched the area.
