It's odd to me that the husband wouldn't have opened it first.

You have a point there. Although if he's anything like my husband everything is "later." I'll do it later, I'll look at it later, etc.

I always get that to, then I end doing it anyway and most of the time its not right. How sad though. I wonder if they ever got information out of the husband, about enemies, etc??? Sounds pretty fishy to me.

It's odd to me that the husband wouldn't have opened it first.

Is it, though? My father would do all the things that required strength and/or technical insight. Once he had determined that he didn't know the tool-box, he would have left it to my mother to check the inside of it for anything that might lead us to the owner of it.

P.S.: What I find odd is that the "young kids" would have assumed a tool-box they found lying around belonged to the husband in this story. Any particular reason for this? Did they hold a grudge? Could they have been messing around with explosives? The husband might not have considered kids enemies when speaking to police; but I certainly hope the police considered the possibility........

It seems odd to me, I wonder who the target was? Those kids could have easily opened the tool box before giving it to Jennifer and been blown up. hmmmmm.

Hell I would think the kids would have checked it out for any kewl items before handing it over to any adult.
