COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A 4-week old baby girl is hospitalized in Colorado Springs with a fractured skull and bruising on her head.

After the child was treated, emergency room personnel at Memorial Hospital called police.

Colorado Springs police said the investigation revealed the child’s father, Christopher Dodson, had struck the baby on the head.

Dodson was arrested on charges of child abuse, a class 4 felony.

The infant was admitted for observation and was in stable condition at last report.

i persinally know both partys. they were at my house yesterday.the mom wanted to take him in chris had the whatever i dont care attitude about the whole thing. i told them if they didn't and something was very wrong they both could be in deep trouble.the mom is in my eyes concered the dad(chris ) wasnt.

The mother shouldn't have hesitated for a moment. I wonder did she know he caused the injuries to the baby or just knew something was wrong with the baby? If she knew the ass-wipe injured her and didn't do anything immediately, I'll have to go right over and punch her hard on the fuck'n head. A Colorado Springs man blamed his 4-week-old daughter's skull fracture on the family cat before telling investigators that he hit her repeatedly because she was "fussy" and wouldn't stop crying as he tried to change her diaper, police said in court documents.

Colorado Springs police Tuesday said the child was being treated at Memorial Hospital. A hospital representative said that no information about the child was available, raising the possibility she is a "silent patient" and that no further information will be released at the request of her parents.

Police were summoned Monday evening after doctors treating the child suspected abuse, police said. Dodson initially told doctors that he believed that a cat must have knocked a mug onto the child's head, before confessing to police that he hit the child on the head twice with an open hand, Officer David Krueger said in an arrest affidavit.

Reading DD should be mandatory to all new parents, that way they'd know babies won't probably stop crying if being hit. Unless killed. They'd also know that sofas, bathtubs and even cats are usually released.
