April Evans, a 30-year-old Panama City woman was arrested after serving her husband a drug filled pie.
According to Panama City authorities, Evans baked a chocolate pie laced with prescription drugs and then fed a slice to him on Tuesday "in an erotic manner", according to the arrest report.
Investigators say Evans crushed up Zanax, Valium and Ambien pills and then mixed them into the pie with the intent to feed them to her husband Jeffrey Evans. Later that evening, she fed Jeffrey the pie, which reportedly caused him to fall into a deep sleep.
Evans told police she then went to another room and went to sleep on the couch.
It seems the pie plot went unnoticed until Evans reportedly told a family member about her pie idea, which in turn got back to her husband who wasn't very excited about the news. He contacted paramedics and police.
Investigators interviewed Evans, who told them that she had no intention of hurting her husband - but that she simply wanted to knock him out so that she could get some sleep.
Authorities weren't so keen to her idea either. They arrested Evans on charges of domestic violence, delivery of a controlled substance and violation of the Florida Anti-Tampering act. She was released from the Bay County Jail on Thursday after posting a $40,000 bond.
