A 32-year-old Hemet man is jailed and faces district attorney charges of sexually abusing two girls, ages 9 and 13, investigators and jailers said today.

Anthony Eugene Carraher, 32, of Hemet systematically molested the 9-year-old girl over the past two years and committed an act of sexual abuse on the 13-year-old girl, according to a Riverside County sheriff's detective. The alleged offenses occurred in the Hemet-San Jacinto area, Det. Steve Fredericks said.
Hemet sheriff's detectives arrested Carraher on Jan. 3 and charged him with four sex-related offenses, according to Fredericks and jail records. Carraher was released on $500,000 bail on Jan. 4.
In the last week, the Riverside County District Attorney filed charges of sodomy of a child under 10 years of age, oral copulation of a child under 10 years of age, commit lewd act upon child with force, commit multiple sexual acts upon a child, and sexual offense against multiple victims, according to Fredericks.
Carraher was arrested on the latest charges Jan. 9 by San Jacinto police. He was held today on $1 million bail at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, jail employees in Banning and Murrieta said.
