PHOENIX -- A Maricopa County sheriff's detention officer was arrested Monday on charges of molesting his 15-year-old daughter when she 10, Phoenix police said.
Officers said Robert Ramirez's daughter told her mother the molestation occurred five years ago.
Police said Ramirez admitted to the charge after submitting to and failing a polygraph examination.
Ramirez has worked for the sheriff's office as a detention officer since November 2005 and was assigned to the Lower Buckeye Jail.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending further determination of his employment, authorities said.
