Just the other night I saw this on the news. She was found by fire fighters training, talk about luck. Mt. Bonnell is a high point in Austin, beautiful but treachours area. Sad to hear she didn't make it. It appears she was on meds...must have wondered off in a not to clear-state of mind. I feel for her family and friends.
AUSTIN (KXAN) - A woman found alive early Sunday near Mt. Bonnell has died.
While officials haven't confirmed the identity, friends and relatives reported Christiana Park, 47, missing on Saturday.
In an email circulated to news organizations, friends described Christiana as medicated and "not herself" when they discovered her car on Mt. Bonell Road.
Austin Fire Crews were training in the vicinity when they received the call that the missing woman's car had been located. The rescue teams did locate a woman alive in critical condition.
The email sent from friends described Christiana:
Our dear friend and mother of four has gone missing, as of Saturday morning, Jan. 3. Her car was found a few hours later parked at the base of Mt. Bonnell. No foul play is suspected. Our friend, Christiana (pronounced Krishana) Park has been under heavy medication, may be disoriented and, at a minimum, not her usual self.
