OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. -- Agents say an Osceola County corrections officer was dealing drugs on the side, including to inmates behind bars. Investigators said the officer was essentially a drug deliveryman, getting money from the inmates and buying drugs for them, while skimming a little bit of cash off the top for himself.

Agents with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team worked with the Osceola County Corrections Department to arrest 30-year-old Eric Sosa, an Osceola County corrections officer.

Acting on a tip that Sosa might be smuggling narcotics into the jail, agents conducted an undercover operation on Thursday to meet with Sosa to give him marijuana to take into the jail. Investigators said Sosa met with undercover agents during a shift break on Thursday night and was immediately arrested.

Sosa was booked into the Orange County Corrections Department on charges of possession on drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, introduction of contraband into a county facility and bribery.

Do you have any idea how often this happens? All the time in every jail or prison. the crazy ex got locked up often and was doing drugs everytime he was in there.

It also happens in rehab centers. One time on a visitation day, when he was in a 30 day rehab, we were sitting outside and I smelled pot and something I couldn't identify, he told me it was crack.

I started to say something and he told me to be quiet, so as not to get them caught. It was the rehab people in charge that were selling the drugs to them.

When we went to court for his arraingment for trying to kill me, I told the judge and gave names. I still have no idea if anything happened to any of them.
