FORT WORTH — Authorities are investigating injuries to a 6-month-old baby girl who was found unresponsive at the Butler Place Apartments public housing development Thursday morning.

A Friday morning police press release said that the child had been pronounced dead, but a spokesman later corrected the miscommunication. As of noon Friday, the girl was still unresponsive and in intensive care at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Lt. Paul Henderson said.

The girl, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital after police were called about 4:15 a.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of I-35W, police said

Detectives from the department’s crimes against children unit were called to the scene because of suspicious circumstances, but authorities declined to provide any details.

I'm wondering what happened though, was she beaten? or was she starved...just what happened.

They certainly did not provide much info. I think its suspicious definitely. Will have to stay posted on this. How sad.

There is a video of neighbors that tried to help save the little girl who is now on life support. She ran next door and started screaming,"My baby dead, My baby Dead, My baby dead." The other neighbor gave the little girl CPR which probably helped keep her alive.

There is evidence inside her apartment that shows she the injuries she has were intentional. They are not saying what injuries she has yet, but I think as soon as someone is arrested, they will let us know.

I just hope she makes it out alive.

Yup Something fishy going on in that case. Start with the people being interviewed. I could barely make out what they were saying. They almost need a translator.

Melvin Daniels
A Cedar Hill man faces capital murder charges after a child died at an area hospital on Saturday.

Authorities are not releasing many details other than to say Melvin Daniels is responsible for the death.

According to a city official, the child, whose age and sex were not released, died at Children's Medical Center in Dallas after being admitted on Tuesday.

The youngster was suffering breathing difficulties, the official said.

Daniels was in custody in the Dallas County Jail on Sunday.

No further information was available.

No, That's not this baby. She was from Ft. Worth and died at a Ft. Worth hospital. There still is no information regarding the child, although, I do believe they are waiting for the autopsy to come through. So I shouldn't find out anything till Monday. But thanks for the info. Maybe you should start a thread regarding this baby.
