A Madison man was arrested for his seventh-time drunken driving offense after a 13-year-old girl fell out of the passenger door of his pickup truck.
Antonio Caprio, 48, was arrested at his home and tentatively charged with seventh-time drunken driving, failure to render aid, and domestic offenses, police spokesman Joel DeSpain said.
Witnesses told police that a 13-year-old girl had fallen from the passenger side of a pickup truck that made a U-turn on Cottage Grove Road at about 6 p.m. Thursday.
They said the driver of the truck failed to get the girl medical treatment.
Later police found Caprio at his home, and he was arrested on a variety of charges.
There was no immediate word on the injuries suffered by the girl.
Caprio is currently on probation for his last conviction for drunken driving, when a sentence of two years in prison and three years on extended supervision was imposed but stayed. He was placed on five years probation with one year in the county jail. That sentence came in 2004.http://www.madison.com/tct/news/stories/324621
Seems kids are having trouble staying in vehicles this week.
