"A mother and her two young children were found shot to death Friday, possibly by the mother who may have also staged a series of attacks on the family over the last two weeks, police said.

Police responding to a report of gunfire found the bodies of 49-year-old Jeanmarie Geis, her 8-year-old son and her 4-year-old daughter in their Dallas home Friday morning.

No official ruling on the deaths has been made. "We are still waiting for tests to come back to determine if it was in fact a murder/suicide," Dallas police spokesman Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said.

Frank Geis, Jeanmarie Geis' husband, was at a doctor's office at the time of the shootings and was questioned and released. "He's been very forthcoming," Lt. Craig Miller said, adding that police are not calling him a suspect.

Police said there were at least three disturbance calls involving the dead woman since Dec. 6, when she reported that a gun-wielding man stole her purse and laptop computer outside the real-estate office where she worked with her husband.

Officers had visited the home twice within the past week, responding to a reported home invasion, assault and kidnapping.

"We are looking to determine whether or not they were valid offenses and whether they occurred the way they were reported," Miller said.

On Dec. 13, 51-year-old Frank Geis was interviewed by police after he was apparently assaulted in his home, according to police reports obtained by The Dallas Morning News. His wife told police that two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks and gloves burst into the home around 8:30 a.m. She said they beat her husband with a hammer on the right side of his head.

Frank Geis, however, told police he could not recall anything past 12:30 a.m., according to the police report.

Jeanmarie Geis said that after the assault on her husband, she was kidnapped by the two men. She told police the men tied her up with duct tape and taped her eyes shut.

Later, the men put her in a car and tried to sexually assault her. She told police that when she resisted, they pushed her out of the car and fled the scene, according to police reports.

The next day, she was in her driveway when a man approached her, put a gun to her head and forced her into a car, according to police reports. He made her remove her shirt and rubbed the barrel of the gun across her face, she told police. The man then told her, "You're going to be mine."

Jeanmarie Geis also told police that the man said, "This is for what your sweet daddy did to my family." The woman was the daughter of the late state District Judge Mark Tolle, who presided over some high-profile criminal trials in Dallas.

According to the police reports, Geis escaped from the car. The man chased her and pinned her to the ground but fled again when a nearby garage door opened."

Quite frankly, this sounds like something out of a thriller, - and a trashy one at that.

The poor children......

Those children do not match. They look different. One is of Nordic appearance. The other one is not of Nordic appearance. Perhaps the Khmer Rouge is involved in this heinous act.

I tried to lay out the time line to see it better, Looks more like hubby did it to me. He even has that convenient " i cant remember" thing going. Real estate's shot to shit right now, thats a good motive. Frank Geis, was at a doctor's office at the time of the shootings, but he could have paid some one to do it. He was also attacked and beaten on the 13th so how did his wife stage that ??? HHmmm not sure if he even saw someone or just got Whack-A-Moled on the noggin???.

12/06/2008 Mrs. Geis was also robbed outside of her real estate office back on Dec. 6. According to a police report, a car pulled next to hers on the street and a gunman demanded her computer bag and diamond ring.

12/13/2008 Police reports show 49-year-old Jeanmarie Geis and her husband Frank were attacked, beaten and bound on Dec. 13 by two masked men.

12/14/2008 The next day, Mrs. Geis was kidnapped from the home by a man who threatened her and attempted to sexually assault her.

12/19/2008 Mrs. Geis and her children Matthew, 8, and Sydney, 4, were found dead inside their home in the 7200 block of Blairview Drive Friday. Police found the bodies after concerned coworkers could not get in touch with Mrs. Geis.

I'm still betting on the Khmer Rouge.

You'd think if someone was hit upside the head with a hammer, there would be some sort of goose egg.

Was she going insane?
Was hubby trying to make her look insane? Faked the attack with hammer by home invaders?
Sounds pretty fishy to me.
Thanks Raven, out of thank-you's

He was actually at the doctors getting stitches out from the previous attack. I think she did it. They did find a gun near her body.

Thats the problum with the whole story, the deaths were each by a single shot to the head??. Why did the wife go though all of this mad scheme just to commit suicide ?? lots of mad wifes have done this before, and killed there children, but not quite this elaborate. Kind of takes the crazy part out if your sane enough to do all of this. Guess it could have been some weird version of "munchausen by proxy" thing. It really only make sense if the wife lived through it though and she didn't. I don't have a gut feeling about the husband only a logical one.

Here is a link to the police report, it has a detailed account of the 3 incident's. the lack of witnesses is the real issue with storys.

Meanwhile, Eric Hansen, 37, told police Friday that the Geises had been having marital trouble, and that he had been dating her recently.

Mr. Hansen told The Dallas Morning News that his son and Matthew were friends, and that he'd known Ms. Geis for several years. He said he had been listening to her stories about the attacks with disbelief.

She had bought a handgun to put in her purse earlier this week, he said, and hired a private security company to guard her house. Police confirmed the house had been under guard but said Ms. Geis dropped the protection Wednesday.

"I can't imagine what's left to find out," Mr. Hansen said. "There's a big hole missing in this story somewhere."
-------------------------------------

After Ms. Geis reported the second attack, the crime-watch group put out a description of her supposed assailant. He was said to be a white man in his mid-20s with brown hair, blue eyes and a heavy Southern accent. He had the numbers "9-1-2" tattooed on the left side of his neck and was driving a large white car, probably a Cadillac, according to the description.

Eric Hansen, son of WFAA-TV (Channel 8) sports anchor Dale Hansen, said he had known Ms. Geis for three years and had been dating her for the past few months. He said Mr. Geis was rarely at home when he would come to the house to drop off his 8-year-old son, who was best friends with Matthew Geis.

He also said that Ms. Geis told him she was getting a divorce from her husband of 11 years. Frank Geis said he and his wife were not getting a divorce. "If that was the case, wouldn't there be a public record?" A search of Dallas County records turned up no divorce filing.

He also said it was not true that he had been living elsewhere.

Mr. Hansen said that Ms. Geis was a stable woman – up until she called him after last Saturday's alleged home invasion.

"She was hysterical," Mr. Hansen said. "If she faked that, that woman deserves an Oscar." Still, he said that as days passed, he came to believe the alleged attacks did not occur as she related them. "The stories themselves made no sense, but the person telling them didn't have a history of telling these kinds of stories."

A mother found dead with her two children this month in their North Dallas home killed herself, the Dallas County medical examiner's office said today.

That makes 49-year-old Jeanmarie Tolle Geis the most likely suspect in the Dec. 19 deaths of her two children, Matthew, 8, and Sydney, 4, who, like their mother, suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.

The medical examiner's office ruled the children's deaths homicides on Dec. 20.
