Angelina Kinnett poured candle wax on 3 y.o.'s leg

The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. CST at a home on Burton Gammon Road. Police say they received a call from Eddie Foster saying that his girlfriend, Angelina D. Kinnett, 26, had abused their son, Jay Foster, by placing the child in a bathtub and poured hot candle wax on his leg from the knee down.

The child was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville for treatment. There is no word on his condition.

Kinnett was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree criminal abuse. She is being held at the Adair County Jail.

I don't know if it is her son, or her boyfriends son. Some news articles state that the child is hers.

I'm ridiculously thrilled that there was someone in this child's life who knew immediately that what had happened was wrong, and called the cops. It seems to me that if this abuse had been allowed to continue, it would have escalated dramatically. Who pours candle wax on a kid? What happened to time out?

Wonder if it was the 7 or 2 yr. old, I'm thinking the 2yr. old...at 3:15am, might have woken up from being ill or just needed to be comforted. I hope the poor child isn't left with permanent damage...heal and be well sweet one.

Angela D. Kinnett, 24, was indicted in January on a charge of criminal abuse in the first degree for allegedly pouring hot candle wax on a three-year-old boy.

I'm glad the judge didnt just slap her on the wrist and give her community service or whatever..I mean chances are the kids not going to be permanently PHYSICALLY damaged..but how emotionally damaging must it be to have the woman, that's supposed to be your mother, hurt you like that.
