Vampire couple jailed for satanic murder

A couple who claimed to be vampires and killed a man by stabbing him more than 60 times in a satanic ritual were convicted of murder yesterday.
Daniel Ruda, 26, a former car-parts salesman, and his wife, Manuela, 23, were sentenced to 15 years and 13 years respectively in a secure psychiatric hospital, but the judge in the western German town of Bochum said the possibility that they could kill again meant they might never be released.
The pair had confessed to killing the man in their apartment surrounded by human skulls, cemetery lights, scalpels and incense – because the Devil ordered them to do so.
It was a particularly gruesome killing. The victim, Frank Hackerts 33, who was apparently chosen by the Rudas as their victim because of his love of the Beatles, was hit over the head with a hammer, stabbed 66 times and had a pentagram carved into his chest. The Rudas say they then drank his blood and slept together in a coffin they kept at their flat.

The Satanists I used to know never actually worshiped anything. It was just a symbol of rebellion and they didn't believe in Heaven or Hell. Hardcore devil worshipers I'll never understand. The idea of worshiping something that hates your guts and wants to destroy you, never made any sense to me. As far as the Columbine kids go, I am convinced that they were at the very least, under demonic influence of some sort.

Burning supposedly kills vampires in some folklore too, and it depends on the vampire as to if decapitation will do the trick or now. I'm fairly sure that Radu from Subspecies was decapitated a couple times. However, yes, decapitation does kill the highlanders.

I thought vamps were killed by decapitation, fire, and anything pointy. I've also heard they can't cross running water, which is an evil spirit/demon thing. Subspecies was cool from what I remember of it. Highlander was cooler.

My step-daughter persuaded my husband to take her to this movie... and he was resigned to it's atrociousness right up to that scene. Then he had to walk out with a strategic bathroom break. He encountered another dad making the same exit. They shared a moment over the mind-boggling badness of it all.

And the immortals in Highlander aren't highlanders... just that one guy ;)
