On the morning of March 9th, 1996, 10-year-old Amberly Mendoza was found murdered in her room at 1740 W. 24th Lane, Yuma, Arizona. Amberly was the victim of a sexual assault and was asphyxiated. Several family members were within the residence during the time of the incident.
DNA evidence recovered from the scene and on her body confirms that a non-family member was in the home and was responsible for Amberly's death.
