Greetings.
I suppose there is no time like the present to introduce myself. I'll begin by saying that I became a demonite some time ago, but I mostly lurk because I'm too lazy to log in. I was brought here by the April Smith (baby in the dryer story). Like many members here, I knew someone that was involved in the case (the mother of the baby's family) and I was googling the case for news coverage when I stumbled upon this website. I was instantly sucked in by the zany and opinionated write ups on the front page. Since then I have been hooked, I check the site atleast once a day and I scan the forums and new comments. It really is quite addicting. I have also gone through most of the old posts on the front page to catch up. I have a pretty high tolerance for the more unsavory aspects of life and I don't cry often. Don't get me wrong I do get upset, but I'm not one to cry over something unless I find it particularly unnerving. The Demon did manage to make me cry once though, it was the baby Benjamin (left in carseat for 8 days to die) post that brought tears to my face. I still get upset just thinking about it. This site has made me ten times more cynical about people than what I was. I won't even let people watch my kids until I have run a background check on them and checked at least five referrals (and of course no males are allowed unless they are immediate family), thanks to you almighty demonites. LOL, yes I'm serious.
Me in a nutshell...
Single mother in Louisiana. I have two beautiful children. Alexander is three years old and Athena is nine months old. I gave my children ridiculously greek names (well technically Alexander is Macedonian) and no, I don't care what you think. I go to the University part time to get my degree in special education (focus on autism) and I am also trying to obtain a minor in mathematics. I work full time as a waitress and part time as a therapeutic aid to a child with severe autism. I have a full plate!
I love being with my children, they give me a reason to love life.
That is about it. I am going to start posting and commenting now, because I feel like it is time to come out of hiding and become just as opinionated as everyone else here. I'm going to come out from underneath my rock now...:vroam:
