A husband and wife in Euless were high on methamphetamine and hallucinating this morning when they told police that intruders tried to hold them hostage inside their home.

Amanda Robbins, 26, and David Robbins, 27, were arrested on misdemeanor drug charges and a charge of filing a false police report.

According to police, Ms. Robbins ran into a fire station to say intruders were holding her husband hostage at their home.

When police arrived at the home, Mr. Robbins was outside. He said intruders had broken in and threatened to kill him.

Police blocked off streets. Then another occupant of the home told authorities there were no intruders.

The couple, who had been up for days doing methamphetamine, continued to maintain there were strangers inside.

Euless police have had past dealings with the Robbinses, but gave no immediate details.http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/crime/stories/120808dnmeteulessarrest.42fdb871.html

Meth will do that to you.
I went by to visit a friend many years ago. I found him on the roof with binoculars. I asked him WTF he was doing. He told me all about how the neighborhood was talking in code to each other by turning on and off the porchlites. I said "whatever" and left. An hour later I came back with firecrackers and started throwing them on the roof. He lost it. Not sure what happened to that guy.

Some "friend" you are. Though you are probably better off without a druggy among <i>your</i> friends.

Meth is a scary drug. My parents spent a good (ok, a really awful) 7 years addicted to that shit when I was a teenager. I remember a lot of conspiracy theories and paranoia around my household before they got their shit together.

God, don't you hate days like that??

If I had a nickel every time I've thought people were roaming my house attempting to hold me hostage.......
