Jesse Cayemberg is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13 with great bodily harm and faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Police were called to St. Vincent Hospital when nurses there suspected the girl had been assaulted. The girl’s mother told authorities she left the girl with a babysitter about 4 p.m.

When other family members picked the girl up about 9 p.m., they realized something was wrong.

Police learned Cayemberg cared for the 14-month-old girl as well as the two daughters of the babysitter while the babysitter was at a wedding.

Cayemberg told police the toddler was playing with a plastic snake during diaper changes and may have injured herself.

One of the other girls in Cayemberg’s care told police he took the 14-month-old into the bedroom for a time while she was watching a movie. She told detectives she heard the toddler crying as if she was hurt, and Cayemberg yelled at her to go away when she knocked on the door to check on the girl.

The doctor who treated the girl said she would not have been able to inflict the injuries on herself. Hospital staff also diagnosed the girl with pulmonary edema, a condition caused by suffocation.

Cayemberg told police he "patted" the girl when she wouldn't stop crying but didn't think he hurt her. He pleaded no contest to two counts of child abuse in the case.

I swear, most people would vote for the death penalty for pedophiles, why hasn't it been done yet? You cannot change them or cure them. A 34-year-old Green Bay man was convicted Monday of assaulting a 14-month-old girl.

Jesse Cayemberg pleaded no contest and was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault of a child and child abuse for the September 2008 attack.

Cayemberg is set for sentencing Jan. 5. He faces up to 72 years in prison.
The victim’s mother left the girl with a babysitter on Sept. 27, 2008, but the babysitter went to a wedding and left her own two daughters and the 14-month-old girl with Cayemberg for the evening.

According to the criminal complaint filed Oct. 21:

Cayemberg told police the toddler was playing with a plastic snake during diaper changes and may have injured herself. Cayemberg is serving a 10-year prison term at the Dodge Correctional Institution after his extended supervision was revoked in an unrelated theft and forgery case and an unrelated child abuse case.

In 1999, Cayemberg was sentenced to 10 years in prison for breaking his infant daughter's bones while changing her diaper.

Cayemberg told police he "patted" the girl when she wouldn't stop crying but didn't think he hurt her, the complaint said. He pleaded no contest to two counts of child abuse in the case.

State Department of Corrections spokesman John Dipko said Cayemberg was released from the child abuse prison term in November 2006. Cayemberg absconded from corrections supervision in October 2007 and his location was unknown until he was arrested in the September incident, Dipko said.

I am thinking he plead to a lesser charge last time to get him off the court docket? It would be what any half way competent defense attorney would advise.

I see he is plead "no contest" this time. It's true he could have been sentenced to 72 years in a jury trial and I hope he gets lots of jail time, but the pig is only 34 years old and most likely he will get out of prison in plenty of time to rape more babies.

So I am hoping for the best... a good ol' fashioned prison shankin'. Ideally he would not die right away... but he would die. Am I allowed to post this wish here?
