Pedro Miranda Sex Offender Arrested For Three Murders

A registered sex offender from New Britain was arrested today and charged with Capital Felony, Felony Murder and Murder as a result of a cold case investigation into the homicides of three Hartford teenagers during the 1980s.

Pedro Miranda, age 51, of New Britain, was arrested at his New Britain home as a result of an on-going investigation regarding three separate homicides. He is held on $7.5 million bond and will be arraigned Monday, December 8th in Hartford Superior Court.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Miranda is charged in the homicides of three Hartford teenagers

There are at least four victims of this SOB. The three women he murdered and the innocent man that has spent two decades of his life behind bars for one of them.

It's too bad there's not enough time to do these DNA scans against cold cases more often. I guess it costs time and money. The guy in jail had to have the Innocence Project working for him to get it. If he had no one working for him, it may have never been found out.
