Dorothy Mae Hey’s death has been ruled a homicide. Hey, 60, was found stuffed inside a trunk behind her daughter’s home in San Jacinto County weeks ago.

Hey’s body was discovered behind the home of her daughter, Betty Fulton, 42.

Fulton’s sister, Roseann Duhon Klumpp, 36, is being held in the Jefferson Davis Parish jail on a charge of second degree murder. Hey’s murder is said to have taken place at a home she shared with Klumpp.

The forensic pathologist’s report stated that Hey’s body was folded in a black storage box and buried in the ground. Her head had been covered with a plastic bag and duct tape.

Her hands and feet were bound with duct tape. The report also states that she was covered with cat litter in the box.

Investigating authorities currently believe that Hey may have been killed in an argument with Klumpp on or about October 14. Authorities also surmise that after the killing Hey’s body was transported from Louisiana to a storage facility in Iowa.

From there it was taken to the home of Klumpp’s sister, Betty Fulton. Fulton is then believed to have helped Klumpp bury the body in a four-foot deep hole, which is where the body was eventually discovered.

Fulton and her husband Robert, 39, have each been charged in San Jacinto County with one count of tampering with evidence.

A family friend, 22-year-old Gordon Hall, has also been charged in relation to the crime.http://www.hcnonline.com/articles/2008/11/23/eastex_advocate/news/4808hey_case_ruled_murder_ea.txt

Different spelling in this article:A Louisiana woman is behind bars, charged with killing her mother and dumping her body hundreds of miles away behind her sister's home in a small southeast Texas town

Clumpp, confessed to killing her mother in Lake Arthur, La., and then led detectives to the home near Cleveland, Texas. http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/ibs.hou.news/national;kw=news+square+17765488;ad=true;pgtype=de tail;tile=9;sz=300x250;ord=123456789? Clumpp was the one who first reported her mother missing.

"The daughter called us again and said they had received a text message from her cell phone that was unusual. Basically, it said she needed some time to sort things out," Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff Ricky Edwards said.http://www.click2houston.com/news/17765488/detail.html

I wonder what is up with all that moving around of the body. Cashing her checks is probably not involved as they are the ones who reported her missing.

If my sister killed my mom, I wouldn't be letting her bury it in my backyard. Calling a funeral home to arrange sis's cremation would be the first thing I did after I beat the crap out of her.
