The chairman of the British Lap Dancing Association, speaking at a legislative hearing Tuesday, made an odd assertion, given his livelihood — a lap dance is "not sexually stimulating," he said, the Guardian reported.
Simon Warr made the seemingly contrary statement to a British parliamentary committee as part of a hearing on the country's Licensing Act.
"You are saying that the purpose of a lap dancing club is not to be sexually stimulating?" asked one member of Parliament.
Warr responded: "All right, the entertainment may be in the form of nude or semi-nude performers, but it's not sexually stimulating."

I'm with him, in fact it's quite annoying. It's hard enough trying not to spill my rum and coke but I'm also trying to play pool here!

There's an association for this? That makes for some interesting meetings I'll bet. I've never had a lap dance... I want one now. Any offers? PM me. lol

I thought that was the point of lap dances? As im a chick and have never been to a strip club I have no idea how to do one. So this is all just assumption. Why have nudie women around if they dont turn you on?

As a woman who's was raised around raunchy men, been to tittie bars, and had a few good lap-dancer friends.. all I could think of reading that article was HUH?! the only man-complaints I've ever heard were "Damn that bitch needs Summer's Eve" and a very mournful "I got muff sauce on my shirt --wife is gonna kill me"

Maybe he just isn't in to women?
I think it's really a law they're trying to squeeze around though..

In college, girlfriends and I used to dance while getting ready to go out, (in our dorms that is). We had a nice audience watching out our door, and the ones sitting on our sofa at about waist high to the action, had no problem putting on their "thinking caps" for the evening....not a lap dance but smiles all around, didn't cost them a dime either!
LOL, we probably shouldn't have been dancing in our undies and bra with the door open!

I imagine this is more along the lines of this guy hairsplitting and defining "sexually stimulating" as physical sexual stimulation, not something that is simply a turn on. Funny though.
