Cynthia Strong Is My Hero

Since it turns out the female security guard did not kill the armed gunman at New Life Baptist Church, Cynthia Strong has moved up the ranks to become my personal hero.

For today at least.

You ever go to a shopping center after fighting all the open-mouthed breathing retards who got a drivers license, only to find that they are all now crammed in a parking lot...during Christmas. I understand that most malls do not have clear lines drawn for cars to park in, or signs instructing you which way you should go...oh wait, that's right...they do. But even with all of that, you will always find yourself stuck in a sea of retards who are in vehicles WITH pedestrians, driving around like rats in a maze who also happen to be some of the rudest people on the planet.

That's what happened to Cynthia Strong in the parking lot of Cool Springs Galleria. She has been charged with simple assault for a confrontation with an idiot, Tara Underwood, who could not figure out the right way to drive in a goddamn parking lot.

“(She) asked me if I was stupid, put a curse word or two in there and asked me if I couldn't read,” Underwood said. “She came up to my car and I have an SUV and the windows are tinted. … She starts banging on my windows, like freaking out, banging on my windows. … When I rolled the window down, that's when she reached in the car and grabbed me by the neck and ripped my iPod. … I called 911. She's still screaming her head off, telling me to get out the car."

“She's calling them and she said, ‘This woman is assaulting me.’ And I said, ‘No. You really need to tell the truth. You were going the wrong way. You swore at me, and I got out and I confronted you about it.’ … She said, ‘I can't hear you.’ So, I reached in, and I snatched the ear bud out of her ear and said, ‘Can you hear me now?’ All I asked her to do was to move over so I could get around her. She's the one that facilitated it by rolling down the window,” she said.

Come on...SUV, iPod in ears, wrong way driving in a parking lot. Look at her in the video. You know damn well she went down the wrong way (probably on purpose), said something nasty to Cynthia who rightfully said something nasty to her for being a goddamn retard, and Cynthia did exactly what all of us want to do (and also showed why you shouldn't).

The one driving the SUV certainly seems like a stupid bitch. As you said Morbid, SUV, listening to an iPod w/ earbuds while driving, driving the wrong direction....she needed someone to beat her ass.

People should applaud the other woman for talking back to someone who is so fucking stupid. Don't arrest her, arrest the dumbass who was driving the wrong way.

Fuck the mall. One of the perks of living in a major city is that far less obtrustive "mini" malls pop up all over the place. I've got two local options other than The Mall to find a Bed, Bath & Beyond, Pier 1 or Barnes & Nobles. I'm still dealing with more people than I'd care to, but it doesn't even hold a candle next to the maddening abyss that is The Mall.

This woman is heroic, though. A woman in a SUV, listening to an iPod, driving the wrong way? Seriously? Yeah, this is why I don't carry my gun in the car when I plan to shop.

Well, we got an update...and it is pretty funny. This is an email I got earlier from Cynthia.

We had a three hour criminal trial in Williamson County Court on February 29, 2008 after Underwood refused my attorney's offer of guilty from me (so I could keep my
handgun permit and spare myself further attorney's fees) so that i could have pre-trial diversion.

It was an absolute hoot, filmed in it's entirety by the most despised Channel 2 News. She so lied under oath about what time the pictures of her alleged "wounds" were taken on the witness stand when she said about 10:30 a.m., shortly after our confrontation at 10:00. When the officer that responded to her distress call took the stand, my attorney asked him what time he took those pictures? His response was at 3:17 p.m. The attorney asked was he sure, since she had already stated it was 10:30 and he read from his report
it was indeed 3:17. Asked why he took the pictures then instead of during the initial report, he stated there wasn't anything to take pictures of until UNDERWOOD called him to come back to the mall at 3:00 p.m. to show her scratches and marks....and yes, my attorney wisely had the entire proceedings recorded by a court reporter so there will be no more doubt about what was fact and what was fiction.

AND!!!!! The D.A. had downloaded a multitude of pages about the incident and was asking that I go straight to jail and be made an example of as 60% of all the information she had found, sided with me!!!! But the absolute best was when she mentioned YOUR web site by name and asked the judge to, I HOPE YOUR SITTING DOWN, BAR me from your web site for SIX months as it was scaring the Underwood family!!!!!

I thought my attorney would pop a clot before he could make that objection and reference to the First Amendment come out of his mouth. Side note, every single objection he made was sustained....so instead of the apology she was demanding, please note my quote on Channel 5 about frost on the gates of the devil's home ( I wanted to make sure they didn't edit that statement!) and one year probation and 6 months of anger management classes, I got six months probation, 40 hours community service, and 6 anger
management classes. my record will be expunged on august 29 (just in time for titan's football season) and i was charged with misdemeanor battery. So all is well and we live by the 'NO GOOD DEED SHALL GO UNPUNISHED"...... motto. I am blessed with a multitude of good friends to help me see that this is indeed carried out...

So thank you so much for putting this most ridiculous situation out there for all to see. I have told countless people that they could access the whole sordid, ridiculous mess by going to you site. I'm just waiting for someone to want to do a story on women screaming in a parking lot criminal trial versus another fellow Tennessean who shot her husband in the back and killed him as he was sleeping and receiving NO JAIL TIME and the Williamson County Sheriff being removed from his job, no jail time, either, for obtaining hundreds upon hundreds of Lortab directly from his pal the pharmacist (case just settled two weeks ago).

So here's to being free in tennessee.......
