View Full Version : Napoleon is Dynomite! Saves Drowning Kittens

English bulldogs are very poor swimmers, owing to their large head compared to their smaller body. So Napoleons owner was REALLY puzzled when his dog ran from his side suddenly and ran straight into a nearby pond. Even more puzzling was that he came out with what appeared to be a burlap bag....and then his owner heard the mewling. There were 6 baby kittens in the bag...2 had already died...but, with a dogs keen sense of hearing, Napoleon had heard their weak mewls for help and came to their rescue.

Where does it belong?

General topics or maybe even strange but true...reality bites is generally for crimes having been committed. Would be a mods call though.

Thanks...not really familiar with what all of the areas are for. I suppose it could be strange but true....
Or maybe those of us who aren't familiar with the site should just keep our stupid fingers off the keyboard and leave it for more experiened persons, who, of course, know what's going on to do

There are stickies above each category for examples of where posts go. We've all mis-posted something Crickett...no biggie! You can also PM any of the mods or Imp or anybody you think might know. Everybody's willing to help anytime!

Crickett, don't feel stupid, how are you supposed to instantly grasp the complexities of a website?

Thank you for posting this story, no matter where it ended up. It's great to hear about this wonderful dog. I hope the four kittens get good homes. And I hope whoever did the cowardly thing of tossing kittens in a bag into a river gets EXACTLY the same treatment themselves.

I posted something today that was already posted. I just sent a message to Imp to delete it for me. I felt dumb too when it was brought to my attention. I don't think it angers anyone.

I love it, this is the third feel-good-dog-story I read today. It was nice.

I always feel bad when I point out a double post-- but I assuage my guilt by teh thought that the second poster might appreciate seeing where other people ahve already talked about the same article..

I can't tell you how many times I've double-posted a story but quite a few for sure. I just said "Thanks, Sorry!" and shrugged it off and moved on. No need to feel stupid...ALL of us have had to learn from mistakes. Especially those of us who have never posted on a forum before - like me!

Fantastic ! Nice break from all the misery we're used to reading . Remember the one from Argentina who rescued a newborn ? Dogs are class . I read a story on here ages ago about a rottweiler saving a toddler from a pitbull . Makes me want one , until I think about all the hard work involved

Thanks all....I just HAD to post something feel good....I had been reading up on Baby P and totally broke down when I saw his pictures...blubbered all over my keyboard...then sat on the couch for several minutes just crying....then opened a bottle of wine...had a glass and STILL kept crying...How anyone could have tortured and killed that sweet little angel is so totally beyond me.....
So I posted some feelgood stories....because I needed a picker-upper

Crickett, since I started posting articles believe me I'm double posting, posting in the wrong thread. Someone comes along and is kinda enough to let me know and them I pm a mod to help me with my usual mistake. :)

I love this story.

Hey it looks like a crime to me. Cruelty to animals is a crime. Therefore it must be a crime story right?

Beside that now I know what not to post in Reality Bites!.

Attempting to drown kittens isn't a crime? They succeeded in killing 2 of them.

The story is about the hero dog, not the asshats who dumped the kitties. IT IS NO BIG deal. Doggie is a HERO! I love doggies!

Maryhaze...I sure do wish I could take the rottie/shepherd mix. I adore rotties but have an alpha female rottie that would never allow another doggie around. She is my BIG BABY... :becky:

Awww! But they are only babies?!! Surely we can cut him some slack for saving babies, not matter what their species?

They are not babies. They are hors d'oeuvres.

Well, in that case the defence will be that he was bringing the (soaking wet) hors d'oeuvres to his master :lollypop:
