http://i38.tinypic.com/2mm6c8g.jpgA 56-year-old Greenfield man was charged with disorderly conduct today in connection with using a small underwater video camera to take pictures of young girls as they swam at Horeb Springs Pool on Sept. 1.
Officers were dispatched to the pool on Labor Day after witnesses - two of whom were off-duty police officers at the pool with their families - said they saw the man, later identified as Gregory Zabolocky, using what appeared to be a special video camera in the pool for about 20 minutes.
Questioned by police, Zabolocky acknowledged that he was trying out a new underwater camera that he had recently purchased and was not specifically videotaping young girls.
But police viewed the video and it appeared obvious that the subject of the camera was young females about 10 to 15 years old.
Zabolocky told the officer he has an interest in underwater photography and mermaids, and that the young girls played into his mermaid interest.
Zabolocky does not have a prior criminal record, according to police.http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/34839139.html
The complaint said another man approached one of the officers saying he’d seen Zabolocky using an underwater camera, and the officer saw Zabolocky appeared to be using his right hand to manipulate a device that was under water, while walking back and forth toward young girls. The man told police he’d used goggles in the water and saw Zabolocky appeared to have been sexually aroused.http://www.gmtoday.com/news/local_stories/2008/Nov_08/11212008_01.asp
He gives new meaning to the words "pond scum".
