View Full Version : Weird Hate/Love Mail From A Guy I Don't Remember

This one came in via my Myspace just tonight. Now, this guy felt strongly enough, having apparently Googled himself, to get a new Myspace account and message me with it, because that "Contact Us" link was just not personal enough, I guess. Thing is, I don't remember him. So if you do, please let me know. He wrote:

Hello Imp, You posted an article about me being arrested and commented about it. I emailed one of your cohorts with a similar email. The article you posted was sloppy and full of wrong information. The woman who reported me to police was the actual one who committed the crime and she only reported me because she was afraid I would report her to the police, which I should have. So she attempted to victimize me and I feel that you and your peers tried to victimize me as well. My reason for emailing you is that I have forgiven you. I can only assume that you don't believe in God due to the nature of the website, but I have prayed for you and I hope that God will forgive you as I have. If your intent was to slander me it actually did the opposite, some of my neighbors harrassed me a little but interestingly enough, I had women offer sexual favors because they thought that was I was accussed of was arousing to them. Some of the people you post may actually be basking in fame that you are giving them. Only the innocent ones really care if their face is on there or not. I'm not asking you to take down the article because it has actually gotten me a job (indirectly). It also has encouraged me to go to law school to represent those that are falsely accussed and those who are slandered. I know that this email will not change your mind about being apart of such a website, but in time it might have a slight effect in changing your position towards God. I wish you the best.

Now, that's rather nice. He forgives me for slandering him and stuff. Which is great, because forgiveness is always a good thing. Except that I still don't know who he is. His Myspace says he's in Lee's Summit, Missouri, so you'd think I'd remember the guy. If he's really innocent, then of course, hellz yeah, I want to update the article. I can take a hit. I'd a lot rather he not have done whatever it was he got arrested for allegedly doing.

So I read the message again. And when I read it again, I start noticing a few things that kinda peg this dude as a little hinky on the ImpQueen Social Skillz Meter. Like the part about the sexual favors and getting a job because of us. And the part where he doesn't know what slander is. And the part about basking in fame. That's just a little.. I dunno... weird.

So I respond thusly:

Chris,

Actually, our site is all about accuracy, so if you have links or available court docs to show me that your charges were dropped or you were acquitted, I'll be more than happy to update our article to reflect that. In fact, if you'll give me your full name, I'll Google you myself and research the case again to be sure I don't have inaccurate information.

Clearly you know nothing about our site or what we do or who we believe in. Telling me you've gotten offers of sexual favors in the same paragraph where you attempt to school me on Christianity really does not make me think you're out just for forgiveness. If that were the case, I think you'd have simply sent me the links to your exonerating material.

But, frankly, we profile a lot of perpetrators, and I don't remember you. Like I said, I'll be more than happy to correct any misinformation. But all my information was pulled from public record (as it always is), so if you're suggesting you may feel the need to litigate, I'd suggest starting with the court system where you live and working your way through the criminal records, the networks, and the published press.

Please remember that it's only slander if it's verbal, and it's only libel if we lie intentionally. I can assure you - we never intentionally lie, as Revelations 21:8 is pretty clear on what happens to liars. I'll await your documentation or links to same, and if applicable, I'll be happy to update your story and publish your email to me in its entirety.

Love in Christ,
Imp

Here's hoping he can provide any of that stuff, so we can correct our stuff. If I can go look and figure out who he is, I'll research it myself. Anyone know this dude, or find him sexy? Anyone?

You have a cohort? I think he meant co-whore.

Only the innocent ones really care if their face is on there or not.
Since he doesn't care if his face in on the site, does that make him guilty?

Now I'm curious which dirtbag this was. You have to give him credit though, I didn't notice a lot of grammatical errors or misspellings. Although, lack of paragraphs kind of suck in long messages.

Yeah...I DID think that it hardly seemed kosher to be talking about the sexual favors that he's been offered in the same area as talking about his love of Christ. Does not seem Christlike or even Christian. More like....delusional?

Could he be the dead-deer fucker? Some women are giving him sexual favors because they think him pounding a dead deer is arousing? After all, there are those porn films of women and horses. And he got a job collecting animal carcasses off the roads?

Imp, have any of your "cohorts" reported receiving a similar email? Which cohort it is might shed some light.

Let's see. A woman accused him of something that she had done herself. It was something that other women find arousing -- at least a few of them do. It was something that his neighbors harrassed him over -- so it wasn't burglary or double parking, it was something that people would feel provoked to approach him on.

"Sexual favors" has a nerdy ring about it. It's the sort of thing someone who has very inadequate social skills and a narrow range of life experience would say.

My guess is that he's a lonely nerd who had sex with an underage girl. Maybe he feels it's her crime because she didn't tell him her age. He feels she turned him in (reported the rape) unfairly because he gave her a good time, after all. Why this would turn any woman on, I don't know. But let's say a few scammers have given him "sexual favors" in exchange for up-sized cash "gifts." They would, of course, have learned about him being a sucker through the media reports and would pretend they liked what they read. As for the job, that could mean anything. Perhaps he met someone as a result of the publicity and they hired him because they felt sorry for a man entrapped by an under-age hussy.

Well, I spun a theory. Don't know if it's right or only proof of my imagination. Does it ring any bells, Imp?

RE: Your Post

Body:

I mentioned the sexual favors because it was disturbing to me and the ones who are guilty and predators are meeting fellow predators. I refused to even speak to them. I am a christian and I can't pass judgement on you, but on the website under contacts it appears that a gentleman who looks like Jesus is giving the viewer the finger. The members talk about doing illegal acts to the perps etc... I don't see that the majority of the members are any better than any one of the human beings that you put up on your site. In my case I did a plea bargain only because I couldn't come up with another $10,000.00 dollars and I had gone through enough public humiliation at that point. I had lost everything. The report that you put up was copied from news sources which had innacurate information, not from court documents. If you had read the court documents you would have had red flags pop up everywhere that something just wasn't right. In the "report" when I was recorded as saying repeatedly that I wasn't going to or able to do anything like that. However, the police fudged a little bit in their statements. The prosecuting attorney himself admitted that in fact I didn't commit an illegal act but that so much media was caused by it that they could not drop the case in fear of him being the "bad guy." You posted the article well before I had even gone to court, your site and readers had condemned me well before I had even spoken my side to anyone, and I mean anyone. I hadn't given the police one statement about what had happened, nor any court for that matter. I could give you my name etc... But that would make my statements lose all credibility. I want you to believe what i'm telling you rather than think it is some ploy to get my name off of your site. You say love in christ but do you not understand that the people on here, even the ones who are fully guilty are children of Christ as well? You will be judged with the same measure that you judged. I sincerely hope that is not the case for you and the others who take part in this website. Read the language, the topic of discussion, go to their myspace pages and see what their beliefs are. Far from what Christ would want out of us. If you are a child of God (and I hope you are) Start another website that builds people up, gives even the guilty ones another chance etc... As far as litigation about slander/libel, I wouldn't do to someone what has been done to me.

Dude. PARAGRAPHS. Look into 'em.

Sucks to yell about innocence and slander when you've taken a plea deal, huh?

So here's my newest reply:

So... you're suggesting we violate scripture by refusing to shine a light on that which is done in darkness? Really?

The Bible also says that any man who hurts a child would be better off to be killed by drowning with a millstone hung around his neck. Now, I don't know what you were convicted of, but clearly you haven't been drowned.

Y'know, if everything you wrote is true, I would think you'd want me to have your name so I could publish your side of the story. In your first email you went on about how our story was indirectly a positive thing for you. Now you won't allow us to present your side? That's weird. But maybe we're just not gonna see eye to eye on this one. I can't imagine taking a plea deal for something I didn't do.

Predators can meet each other lots of places, but I can pretty much promise you they're not having a Pervs-R-Us Meet & Greet on our front page. Mainly because most of the people on our front page are in jail.

If we stop what we're doing, who speaks for the victims? What about those children of God? Or do they not count as much as their abusers? You flip the God coin your way, I'll flip it mine.

We're just here to let our little light shine.

In His Footsteps,
Imp

I have no clue. He could be James Crise except for the plea deal. He could be any of probably 50 of those guys I've profiled for the front page. I'm with you on the crime, though.

Regardless of whether I ever know who this guy is, it's a fascinating look into how predators think. Because he's gonna answer me. And he's gonna keep answering me as long as I'll write him back and he thinks he has a chance of changing my mind.

I love it when they think we're stupid.

No, this guy writes for all the pervs caught and who have been "victimized" by their victims, police, attorneys, unscrupulous news outlets, Hunter S. Thompson, Morbid, and me. And they all kinda look alike from my end of the keyboard.

Just throwin' in my two cents here. (Which admittedly isn't worth half that much)

But Less Summit can't really be a crime hot bed, at least not as far as postings on this site goes. But with this clown being from Lees Summit, it really wouldn't be a stretch to think that this crime happened in Kansas City.

Or maybe he is getting his rocks of by being a cyber stalker, and is just giving you enough info about the "crime" to keep you guessing, until his next email.

And there WILL be more, I would bet on it!

I don't really think he's Crise. The writing patterns are too different. This guy said he took a plea deal in the case, and Crise's cases have been kicked to the Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He's due for formal arraignment December 19, and his trial won't start until April of 2009.

Then again, I don't think this guy's name is Chris, either, and I'm pretty sure he's not from Lee's Summit, MO.

I'm not super worried about it. The way I see it, if perv-boy was really innocent, he'd give me his name and some corroborating evidence. The fact that he can do neither tells me that he's just another garden variety perpetrator who got caught and can't stand the heat. Which tells me that we're doing our job. :tongue2:

I once said that anyone who hurts a child should be castrated and hung. After having been accused of something like that, I now realize that a good majority of those who are accused are probably guilty, but just the same, there are a percentage of those who are not. Should we take the victims and go ahead and execute them as well, the vast majority of those that commit these crimes were abused as a child. Since i'm in no position to make changes to laws, my opinion doesn't count for alot, but I feel like these victims need help, I feel like the people who do these crimes need help as well. I'm sure that most of what you report hits the nail on the head, but what about those it doesn't? I don't see that your website is shining light on anything, the stories were already published in the news. I'm not using the "God" card to sway anything. I did sin, even with what I was accused of, I committed a sin. I didn't break the law however. All sins are equal. I have been looking for the passage you quoted and cannot find it. It also says to not pass judgement and it sure appears that your readers and several statements you made did just that. Well listen, I won't take up your time. I know you are a busy woman and probably your intention is good and you have probably been victimized as well. I feel that I was victimized by this woman. Her claims will haunt me until the day I die. My hope is that you are aware that DAs get HUGE positive public boosts when they prosecute these kinds of crimes, whether they are real or not. The DA said that they cannot be too hard on dealing with these kinds of accusations, they can only be too leanient (spelling). FYI- I don't know if the women that contacted me got the information from your website or not, but I do know that when I google my name, it is on the front page and no other input is on there about me but yours. On another note, I am hard to anger and initially I was angry that you put my face on there and my a version of what happened to me, so if that angered me, what happens to the ones that are mentally unstable and violent? Trust me, after having dealt with these men in jail, they would want payback. I am not that type of person and in fact, I wish you would prosper (just not with the website tha I strongly feel is demonic in nature).
