A couple called to Horning Middle School because their son was accused of bullying ended up being arrested at the school, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.

Yolanda R. Trotter, 32, of Waukesha was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with felony battery to a peace officer and misdemeanors of obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

She hit a police detective in the face as the officer was escorting her out of the building, according to the complaint.

Her husband, Robert Donald III, 33, was charged with two misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

The couple were called to school Friday morning to speak with a principal and Waukesha police Detective Shelly Fisher regarding an incident at school. The couple entered the room shouting, swearing and acting like a “child throwing a temper tantrum,â€￾ the complaint says.

The couple, who were holding their 13-month-old child during the incident, were advised repeatedly to calm down and stop swearing in the school, the complaint says.

The officer called for backup, and she and the principal escorted the couple outdoors. The couple continued to yell and swear as they passed classrooms filled with children, the complaint says.

As they were exiting through the doors, Donald took off his jacket and challenged the officer and principal to a fight, according to the complaint. Two other officers arrived, and Fisher told the couple they were under arrest, the complaint says.

As Fisher attempted to arrest Trotter, Trotter struck the officer in the face, the complaint says.

When Donald resisted being arrested, an officer pointed a Taser at Donald, who grabbed the baby and held the child as a shield, the complaint says. He eventually was taken into custody.

Just referenced this case in another thread, because it was in my area... I looked up the mom and son to see where they are now, looks like this son is getting into even more trouble, years later... Thanks Yolanda, looks like they never learn.

WAUKESHA - A 41-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threatened to kill a neighbor's child.

Scott Zweifel admits he made the threat, but said he was just very upset after his son and the neighbor's son got into a fight [...]

"He made a verbal threat to take my son's life," Yolanda Trotter said. Her son, whose name she doesn't want used, was the one who Zweifel threatened.

"This man was bold enough to come to my door, ring my doorbell, and say, 'I'm going to kill your kid.' That's very frightening for any parent."

[...] "He said, 'If your son touches my son, I'm going to kill him,'" Robert said.

Robert called police, who arrested Zweifel for disorderly conduct. The police report said that Zweifel told responding officers he "couldn't control himself."

[...]

Zweifel admits he made the threat, but can't talk on camera for legal reasons. But his son Scott, who was punched during the fight, sides with his dad.

"He came up and just sucker punched me right in the eye," Scott said. "It swelled up so much I almost couldn't keep it open."

Both sides now have restraining orders against each other. But Yolanda doesn't think a piece of paper is enough to keep her family safe.

"What if he comes back and acted out on that threat he made?" she asked.

That was about a year and a half ago. Now the son (who's about 20 or 21) is going on trial next month for battery by prisoners. Parenting at its finest.
