A New York man was busted tried to pull a fast one on the Long Island expressway.

Police say James Campbell had a wooden figure in the passenger seat of his vehicle.

He was hoping the fake body would let him sneak into the HOV lane.

It didn't work.

"He kind of shrugged and had a silly face on for the most part like he knew he was busted,” Suffolk County Highway Patrol officer Jonathan Abrams said.

The officer wasn't impressed with Campbell's woodworking ability
