A Harnett County woman is facing a murder charge after her boyfriend was found dead in a recliner in their home, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office said Friday.

Sharron Ivette Allen, 53, is charged with murder, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

Harnett County deputies and EMS workers responded to a report of an unresponsive person just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, the release said.

There they found Michael Renard Foxx, 51, of the residence, dead in a recliner, the release said.

Allen, his girlfriend, said she woke up from a nap to find Foxx unresponsive, according to the release. Deputies noted some inconsistencies at the scene and several small wounds on Foxx's body, the release said. His body was sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy, which found that the small wounds were stab wounds.

She was taken to the Harnett County Detention Center and given no bail.
