State police have arrested a Warners man and charged him with sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl at a mobile home park in Brutus.
William Clark Jr., 32, of 2632 Warners Road, was arrested around noon today at the state police barracks in Auburn. He was arraigned in Brutus Town Court, where bail was set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. He was being held last night at the Cayuga County jail.
Town Justice Robert Hook issued an order of protection to prohibit Clark from having any contact with the 7-year-old.
State Police Investigator Joel Pinker said that the incident took place in February and that Clark was with acquainted with the girl.
Clark has no prior record, Pinker said.
