Track Palin, the oldest son of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was arrested Saturday in Alaska on charges of domestic violence. It marks the second time he’s been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in two years.

The charges seem to stem from an incident in his family’s hometown of Wasilla, though further details about what happened were not immediately available.

Palin, 28, was arraigned Sunday morning on three counts: felony burglary, misdemeanor reckless assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief for causing up to $500 in property damage, according to online court records. Each of the charges was related to domestic violence.

The felony burglary charge indicates Palin is accused of hurting or attempting to hurt someone while committing burglary.

Representatives for the Palin family could not be immediately reached for comment.

Palin was also arrested in 2016 on domestic violence-related charges. He was suspected of punching his girlfriend, who then became concerned that Palin was going to shoot himself with a rifle, according to court records.

He took a plea deal that resulted in some of the charges being dismissed, and he pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. His girlfriend later filed for custody of their child, and in January she requested a protective order against Palin.

Supposedly Track has PTSD. He's been through veteran's court on the previous charge, they usually only give one chance with that if crimes escalate. I expect he'll get worse before he gets better.
If this was any other family people would actually feel sympathy. They wouldn't be enjoying it so much, and it would never make it to DD .

Maybe this will be a wake up call and he will get back on track.
What a burden that monosyllabic moniker is.
People have probably been punning him all his life.

Track Palin, the elder son of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has won an early release from custody after his conviction for assaulting his father.

Palin reported to an Anchorage halfway house in December to serve a year for the 2017 attack on his father. But he was released after a judge granted a motion for credit for time spent on electronic monitoring.
Palin, who served a year in Iraq, was previously enrolled in a veterans’ therapeutic court program for the assault on his father. But he was dismissed from the program following new assault charges in September.

In that case, a female acquaintance said Palin told her she couldn’t leave his Wasilla house, took her phone and then hit her in the head. Misdemeanor charges including assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct are pending in that case.

In December 2017, Palin was accused of breaking into his parents’ home and leaving his father, Todd, bleeding from cuts on his head, authorities said. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal trespass.

That plea arrangement called for him to serve 10 days in jail if he completed the veterans therapeutic program and a year behind bars if he did not.

Palin also was accused of punching his then-girlfriend in 2016. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
