The Rev, Molon labe
The legacy of failure continues, although the liberal press and history will report his presidency as successful, for the truth is racist :hilarious:

. The push is important because over the past few years, the people signing up through the exchanges have skewed older and have lead to significant losses for insurersoffering plans through Obamacare.
In turn, health insurance companies have started to cut bait on the losses and remove their plans from some states. Major insurers such as Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and Cigna have all reduced their ACA business.

I work for a large insurance company that is absolutely cutting their market presence DRASTICALLY. This is true.

The company I work for is a third party administrator that contracts with many different major carriers, and most are reducing their footprint; moving out of all but the most profitable counties within a particular state, or even exiting the state altogether.

These companies are hemorrhaging money because the design has been flawed from day one, and they can't sustain year after year of such substantial losses.

My company is doing mass terminations. For next year (2017) they are exiting over half the states they currently offer coverage in. It's going to continue to get more and more ugly for the consumers, because there are such limited options to choose from now, and soon there may be none.

Young, healthy people aren't going to enroll in a plan and balance out the risk pools. It is (and always has been) cheaper for them to just eat the tax penalty vs paying hundreds of dollars in premiums each month for a plan that statistically they're highly unlikely to even use.

This system is fatally flawed, and I've watched it slowly implode the past several years. All the things we've predicted would happen are coming to fruition. It's terrible. I honestly don't think this can be sustained much longer, but I don't see any other option unless the government does a major bail out for the insurance companies like they did for the banks and GM. :(

'Death spiral'? ObamaCare problems making coverage harder to afford, find
When Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey announced recently that it’s $46 million in debt and shutting down, it became the 17th failed ObamaCare co-op since the Affordable Care Act launched three years ago.

Well, ya know, I can't disagree to anything in this thread.
I now have the worst and most expensive medical insurance ever.

I just flat out quit going to the doctor and quit getting any meds at the pharm.
It its cheaper for me to contact a drug pusher for needed meds. He has or can get what ever I need. Yes, even my cholesterol meds.come from him.

Obama going to bankrupt the country to save his legacy
Nothing but dumb fucking policies and the tax payer takes it up the ass, while he plays golf and his family vacations like no other presidential family in history of the USA
While wages are down, jobs are lost, unemployment rampant and crime rising at an unprecedented rate

Obama may use obscure fund to pay billions to ACA insurers
The efforts in recent weeks reflect the partisan thorns that still surround the sprawling law six years after its passage. The payouts probably would be made from the Judgment Fund, a 1950s creation that is allowed as much money as it needs to satisfy valid claims against the government. Such a move would bypass congressional Republicans, who have criticized certain ACA provisions as industry “bailouts” and blocked the Health and Human Services Department from paying health plans what they are owed.

In the waning months of the Obama White House, administration officials are continuing their upbeat portrayal of all aspects of the health-care law, one of President Barack Obama’s main domestic achievements. Behind the scenes, they think that settling these claims – $2.5 billion for 2014 and an as-yet-undisclosed sum for 2015 – is crucial to the exchanges’ well-being at a time when the high cost of covering ACA customers has driven some small insurers out of business and prompted several large ones to defect from marketplaces for the coming year.

“It’s a legacy item for the White House,” said Dan Mendelson, president of the health consulting firm Avalere and an adviser on the payout effort. “It’s more than just a lawsuit. It’s really about the future … and stability of these markets.”
