An 18 year old and 16 year old have been charged with murder in the
shooting death of their 36 year old cousin in Indio on April 11.

The charges stem from an apparent dispute between the suspects and their older cousin that led to the deadly shooting at the Mountain View Garden Apartments

Police found 36-year-old Manuel Chavarria Hernandez lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his head around 1 a.m. Neighbors didn't report hearing any gunshots that morning.
After investigating, detectives found the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting and arrested the sibling suspects,

Raymond Hernandez was booked into the Riverside County Sheriff's Jail in Indio and Joseph Hernandez was taken to Riverside County Juvenile Hall.
Both suspects are being charged with murder, conspiracy, weapons violations and attempted murder. Police said Joseph will be charged as an adult.
Raymond is expected to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Larson Justice Center in Indio, according to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.
