Ok, this keeps coming up so I will address it for the 10th time. We do not read private messages - sort of.

I made a comment last night regarding a banned member who sent a PM that helped get them banned. I did not "read" the PM, the banned person forward the PM to our admin email with the response since they were unable to login any longer. Why did they do that? I do not question the motives of the mentally challenged. Your guess is as good as mine.

But that does bring up the issue of just how private are your private messages? There's no such thing as privacy online, people. Do we have the ability to read them? Yes, of course. So does any other admin for any other forum you may use, including any email provider you currently use.

But I can count the number of times we have had to read PMs on one hand - in 10 years! In each case, there were allegations of illegal activity between members, or threats from one member to another that we had to take seriously.

I have been transparent about this and have made this comment multiple of times. But if you do not trust your private messages here will not be read, simply don't use it. Seriously, it just saves me bandwidth and keeps my database that much smaller.

Mines lesbian fiction staring members here. I only send them to Pete though, so don't worry ladies.
