Middleboro sex offender charged with molesting 8-year-old

A Middleboro man who is a registered Level 2 sex offender is in jail on charges he sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend’s 8-year-old daughter while she was sleeping.
Peter J. Kearney-Stanley, 24, of 1 Carmen Park Drive is being held on $5,000 cash bail in the Plymouth House of Correction after a Tuesday arraignment. He will return to Wareham District Court next month to answer to the charge of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
The charge originated in Wareham, where Stanley was living with his ex-girlfriend. According to court records, the Department of Social Services was investigating the mother for neglecting the 8-year-old and her 6-year-old brother.
During a home visit in February, the 8-year-old said Stanley “touched me in the wrong spot.†The girl said she was sleeping and woke to him touching her.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office was notified of the allegations, Wareham police were brought in and the investigation was launched. A DSS spokesperson said the children remain with their mother in Wareham because Stanley is out of the home and no longer a threat.

Obviously, this woman has the good judgement of a wall of bricks. She had a level 2 sex offender, a CHILD rapist at that, living with her and her children. He molests one of them, but she can have her kids back because he is not living there anymore. WTF?
