Uh oh. This was over a chick.

"A MAN planning a romantic getaway with his new girlfriend has been savagely stabbed to death in his own home, allegedly by his new lover’s former husband.

Michael Moad, a quiet and well-liked man from a respected Cessnock family, was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Edgeworth Street home about 12.15am where they found Mr Moad with multiple stab wounds.

They tried to save the 48-year-old, but he died at the scene.

Detective Inspector John Zdrilic from Central Hunter Local Area Command said initial inquiries suggested that the alleged murder was ‘‘a domestic situation between two males and a female’’.

A neighbour, who was awake when the attack happened, described hearing ‘‘very loud shouting’’ coming from the home.

Not long after a woman ran down the side of the house ‘‘screaming for help’’.

‘‘She was in hysterics,’’ the neighbour said.

‘‘She ran down the side and I heard her yell out, ‘Help me’.

The driver, a 50-year-old man, had ‘‘multiple injuries’’, and was moaning for help.

‘‘He lost control of his car [and] rolled into the crime scene,’’ Detective Inspector Zdrilic said.

‘‘The injuries he had, at least some, were self-inflicted. He was not in a good state.’’

The two incidents were linked, and on Sunday night, police were planning to charge that man with Mr Moad’s murder."

What about this is not safe for work?

THe driver is the killer. What a bizarre way to try and get away with it. Stab yourself and then drive into the crime scene.
