The father who's 3-year-old daughter was found dead Saturday shared documents from Child Protection Services that allege she suffered some disturbing abuse.

Shared with Crime Stories, the documents describe the sexual abuse Mariah Woods went through and the physical abuse her 10-year-old brother suffered at the hands of their mother’s boyfriend, Earl Kimrey.

Mariah’s brother claims he saw Kimrey “put his penis in the mouth of his sister Mariah.”

The documents also stated that the brother said Mariah’s mother, Kristy Hunter, knew about the sexual abuse the toddler was being subjected to.

She was also aware that Kimrey abused substances including marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine.

The day the young girl went missing, Kimrey allegedly struck Mariah’s brother in the face which caused his nose to bleed. Again, he claims the mother knew of this and did nothing to stop it.

This has all come to light after Mariah’s body was found in a creek on Saturday. Kimrey was arrested right before they found the girl’s remains.

Mariah’s body was found by dive teams on Saturday around 5:30 p.m. in a creek just 25 miles from her home. That was not the place of her death, though, according to the FBI.

Kimrey was arrested hours before the girl’s body was discovered for concealing her death and hiding the remains. Kimrey, who has a criminal history that dates back to 2005, is also being charged with obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property.

He is being held at the Onslow County Detention Center and his bond is set at $1,010,000.

Kimrey went before a judge on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court again on December 18.

“This investigation continues,” said Ernie Lee, district attorney for district 4.

The boyfriend of Mariah Woods' mother was charged Wednesday with first degree murder and felony child abuse in the death of the 3-year-old that grasped national attention.

The charges filed against 32-year-old Adolphus Earl Kimrey II come after Mariah's December autopsy revealed her cause of death was due to chloroform toxicity.

Mariah was first reported missing November 26. Multiple law enforcement agencies and hundreds of volunteers worked tirelessly to find the child.

"The search included numerous local, state and federal agencies," Onslow County Sheriff's Office said. "Leads developed during the investigation led detectives to the Holly Shelter Creed bridge in Pender County where a dive team recovered Mariah's Body on December 2."

On the day Mariah's body was found, Kimrey was charged with obstruction of justice, conceal an unattended death, possession of stolen goods, second degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering. Kimrey has been in custody since December 2 pending further charges which came in Wednesday.

Kimrey has now been charged with first degree murder, felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury/death. He has been placed under a no bond and is expected to appear in court at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The man accused in the murder of Mariah Woods was back in court Monday and the prosecution said it will seek the death penalty against Earl Kimrey.

Kimrey appeared for an arraignment and a Rule 24 hearing Monday afternoon. The purpose of a Rule 24 hearing is to determine whether the state will be seeking the death penalty in the case.

Kimrey told a judge he's not guilty of Woods' murder. Woods was the daughter of Kimrey's live-in girlfriend.

The District Attorney's office submitted a number of indictments against Kimrey including first-degree murder and felony child abuse on Feb. 13.

.
New details emerged in an autopsy report released Wednesday about the death of Mariah Woods.

According to the autopsy report, Mariah’s cause of death was due to chloroform toxicity.

Autopsy findings also showed that 28-pound Mariah had been wrapped in three white, plastic trash bags tied around her neck.

According to the report, her body was “enclosed in a plaid, zippered couch cushion cover. The couch cushion cover also contains a large portion of a solid cement material admixed with stones (similar to a curb/parking curb). After opening the couch cushion cover, the body is wrapped in three white, plastic, trash bags which are tied around the neck.”

Adolphus Earl Kimrey was charged with first-degree murder. Records show Kimrey is also charged with felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury/death.

At least with all the trash bags and couch cushion, physical evidence will still be there and not washed away by the creek. Tho it is hard to even think about. How did mom get out of charges?

There is simply no way he was able to tie her up in 3 garbage bags and stuff her inside an emply couch cushion with out help or making enough noise to wake her up. I wonder where the emply cushion came from? Was it laying around in the yard or did it come from inside the house?

You can tell, in her picture, that Mariah loves her babies, too bad Mariah's mama didn't lover her babies enough to run this asshole off before he killed her.

they both need to be charged with everything, no doubt the morons are using the "mother" to testify against him but they shouldn't have given her compete immunity but rather told her they would take the death penalty charges she deserves off the table she was too willing to allow these atrocities and that alone makes her a complete complicent accessory

Just over two years have passed since the disappearance and death of 3-year old Mariah Woods. The story is far from its conclusion.

Mariah was reported missing by her mother’s live-in boyfriend, Adolphus Earl Kimrey II, around 6:30 a.m. Nov. 27, 2017, The Daily News reported. On Dec. 2, 2017, her body was found in Shelter Creek, located in Pender County. Kimrey was later charged with first-degree murder.

A pre-trial motions hearing for Kimrey will take place in early 2020, according to District Attorney Ernie Lee. Kimrey’s trial is scheduled to take place in February 2021, Lee said.

The pre-trial motions hearing will set the parameters of trial, with both the prosecution and defense able to request the court make certain decisions regarding the trial, courtroom defendants, evidence, or testimony, according to justice.gov. Lee believes around 30 motions could be filed.

“I would expect a considerable number of motions filed,” Lee said.

Kimrey was charged Dec. 2, 2017 with felony concealment of death, felony common law obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny, and felony possession of stolen property. He was later charged with first-degree murder and felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury in relation to Mariah’s death on death on Jan. 24, 2018.
