A tip that started with Google led the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to arrest one of its own officers on child pornography charges, according to the arrest report.

Metro investigators arrested 37-year-old James Henry, who has been with the force since 2002. Henry surrendered to investigators Thursday morning.

He is a patrol officer with the Convention Center Area Command.

Google reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an image depicting sexual content involving a child had been uploaded and linked to a particular email address, the report said.

Deputy Chief Al Salinas said Metro received the tip two weeks ago and served a search warrant on Henry's home and 10 images were found on his computer that showed boys between the ages of 9 and 16.

"We don't get a lot of these types of cases on any of our officers but when we do we take it very seriously. It's a very serious crime when you are victimizing children and we follow through. We will arrest if information proves to be accurate as given to us," Salinas said.

Following Henry's arrest, he was was put on unpaid administrative leave and is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
