But their getaway plan went sour when a tipster at the Lodge Atlanta overheard the pair bickering and bragging about the Minnesota crime about a week later, and noticed all the jewelry and cash they had.
The woman called Roseville Police after finding surveillance footage from the Pawn America robbery online and realizing the suspects were the same people he saw at the hotel near Atlanta

Spencer Jr. was captured at the Doraville hotel on three counts of aggravated robbery charges shortly after Roseville and Dekalb authorities got the hot tip.
Investigators found photos on Spencer Jr.’s cellphone of him wearing rings allegedly stolen from Pawn America with the tags still attached

However, his father was not at the hotel having left the area after the two argued. He was found last week at a home in Moline, Ill., and arrested on aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm, assault and attempted murder related to the shooting of pawn shop employees.

Spencer Sr. did not know he was pulling the trigger on a loaded gun he had pointed at employees during the robbery, he claimed in an interview with Roseville detectives.
He allegedly shot at three employees and hit a 27-year-old man in the leg as his son smashed the jewelry cases and grabbed as many stolen goods as he could.
