were serving an arrest warrant on the Sunnyvale handyman in June when he came outside waving a BB gun and was shot and killed by officers.

Griggs was the suspect in the murder of his girlfriend Molly Franquemont who had not been seen or heard from for more than a year. At the time the warrant was being served, police already knew about the link to three other women.

In 2006, Kelly Daniel was found dead in a Sunnyvale garbage transfer station. She had also dated Griggs but the coroner was unable to determine when or where she died.

year earlier, Griggs called police to report his then-girlfriend, Beverly Donaldson, was dead in bed. The coroner ruled her death to be from ethanol intoxication.

And in 2003, Griggs called authorities

to report the death of his girlfriend at the time.

For now, police are focused on finding the Franquemont’s body. “We want to find Molly, we want closure for her family and we are looking at any opportunity that someone might have information that can come forward and help us.”

Before his attempted arrest, detectives set up video surveillance on Griggs. The video showed his Franquemont was not regularly visiting Griggs as he had told police in several interviews.

OMG. Who the hell thinks they are dating a potential serial girlfriend killer? Glad they killed this guy but then again maybe not becoz the families could have possibly gotten answers about their loved ones, but this guy wanted to die.

This guy is definitely a serial killer. It can't possibly be coincidence that these four women...who all have a history with the same man...to vanish or be found dead. No one's luck is that bad...four ex-girl friends were found with him, dead beside him in bed, in a garbage dump and vanishing without a trace...never to be heard from again. Its too bad these families didn't get justice. I think I"d feel cheated somehow if I was them. Then again...he got the death penalty due to his own stupidity with the bb gun. So maybe they are just happy he can never hurt anyone again. Karma came calling!!
